We get asked about this on nearly every house wash, so here it is. The cleaning solution is safe around landscaping and pets when it's applied correctly, which means pre-wetting plants around the work area and rinsing them afterward. Everything is dry and normal within a couple of hours. We do ask that pets stay inside while we're actively running.

Pavers and poured concrete need different handling, and it matters more than people expect. Pavers have joint sand between them that blows out under high pressure, which is how you end up with loose, wobbly pavers and weeds coming through by spring. They get lower pressure and fresh sand after. Concrete tolerates more. Same setting on both is a mistake you pay for later.

Vinyl fences go yellow-green in Florida and most people assume that's just age. It usually isn't. That's algae and mildew sitting in the grain, and it comes off. This one hadn't been touched in years. Low pressure and the right cleaning solution, no splintering, no cracked panels. We do wood fencing too, at an even gentler setting so the grain doesn't raise.

Every year we get calls to fix a DIY job, so here's the honest version. The rental machines put out real pressure with no practical way to dial it back for the surface you're on. Concrete can usually take it. Siding, stucco, painted trim, and screens cannot. The damage shows up as etching, stripped paint, or permanent stripes in the concrete where the wand sat too long. If you're doing it yourself, keep it moving and stay off anything painted.

That dark patch where the car parks is oil, and it's a different job than the rest of the driveway. Washing lifts dirt and algae off the top. Oil has soaked down into the concrete and needs a degreaser plus time to sit before it releases. Old stains sometimes lighten rather than disappear completely, and we'll tell you which one you've got before we start instead of after.
