Fungus gnats — everyone’s had them but no one wants them 🦟🪴

Did you know fungus gnats can hitch a ride home with you in new plants OR a fresh bag of potting mix? The good news? There’s a simple way to help break their life cycle.

Fungus gnats have a life cycle of about 17 days, which is why consistency is key. Using Happy Happy Houseplant🪴Mandi Gubler Death Drops with every watering helps target fungus gnat larvae in the soil stopping the cycle in its tracks.

Death Drops are made with BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis), a naturally occurring soil bacterium that produces proteins that are toxic to fungus gnat larvae when ingested.

At The Rolling Root, we use Death Drops with every watering to help reduce the likelihood of bringing home fungus gnat larvae hiding in the soil 💚

If you want to add it to your plant-care routine, you can use our code ROLLINGROOTPLANTS for 10% off your purchase.

Hey guys! We’ve built such an incredible community, and we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We’re Cody and Aubrina, the owners of The Rolling Root. This adventure has really brought everything full circle for us. We met years ago while working at a greenhouse, so getting to build something together centered around our love of houseplants feels really special.

We created our mobile plant shop to share that love with you all and to make plant ownership feel fun, approachable, and attainable, so you can feel confident caring for your plants.

We cannot thank you enough for being here and growing along with us. 🌿💚

A little look at today’s Paint, Pot & Grow event at Fire Escape Art Studio🪴🎨

We loved seeing everyone pick out their plant and get creative with their planter to make the experience their very own!

No two turned out the same, and we loved seeing all the different plant + planter combos come together.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out today! Can’t wait til next time 🖌️🎨🌱
