I enjoy working with wood I have two portable mills - a 36” Alaskan Mill and a 59” Alaskan Mill, that I can take out into the field and mill logs for customers I also have a professional mill at my house where I mill logs and sell slabs.

I have one log of Sassafras left. It’s about 8’ long and 12” wide at the big end. I can cut it at 1” or 2”, or whatever the customer wants. I wanted to offer it up before I just cut it to my dimensions. I know some people use this wood in chicken coops. Let me know soon if you are interested. I will likely cut it before end of day on Saturday the 24th. DM me. Thanks.

I’ve found a lot of things in the logs that I’ve milled over the years. This is the first horseshoe. It was a big log. I had to burn it out. I bet it’s 60-70 years old. The top edge that is a little uneven is where I hit it with my chainsaw.
