Another before + after from my MCM coastal remodel…

In the primary bathroom, where a very dated garden tub once sat is now an oversized walk-in shower. Marble accents, black herringbone flooring, a built-in bench and matte black fixtures completely transformed the space, while that gorgeous arched window still takes center stage.

And then there’s the guest bathroom…

What was once a basic, dated tub/shower became a clean, modern space that feels completely refreshed. We kept the tub for functionality, took the tile all the way up, and added a frameless glass panel, matte black fixtures, a handheld shower and black inset niche for just the right amount of contrast.

Throughout both bathrooms, crisp whites, black countertops and accents, shiplap, matte black fixtures and touches of warm brass tie everything together—bringing in that MCM coastal feel my clients love while keeping the spaces bright, clean and timeless.

The best ending to a Friday is a green light on approved designs!

This is the part of design I love most… taking spaces that feel dated, overlooked, or underwhelming and reimagining them into something layered, intentional, and exciting.

Design isn’t always about starting over. Sometimes it’s about seeing the potential in what’s already there — and creating a space that tells a completely new story.

This story is about creating sophistication and excitement is everyday spaces.
