A little fun, a little sophisticated, and full of personality.

The goal for this bunk room was to create a space that felt playful yet polished, layering rich blues and earthy greens with warm wood tones. The rug was our jumping-off point, setting the palette and tone for the entire room. From there, we built a layered, collected look that feels cozy, timeless, and just a little unexpected.

Because a bunk room can be every bit as thoughtfully designed as the rest of the home.

A little blue in the mountains

I don’t often gravitate toward blue in my mountain designs, but every now and then, when paired with the right materials and textures, it just works. And this guest bedroom is the perfect example!

The mix of warm, rustic wood, soft gray accents, and those beautiful blue tones in the bedding creates a space that feels both cozy and elevated. I love how the blue adds just the right amount of color without taking away from the natural, relaxed feel of a mountain home.

A reminder that sometimes stepping outside your usual color palette leads to something really special.

From inspiration to installation…and because every good reveal deserves a reminder of the before, swipe to see the transformation.

The finished laundry room and proof that even the most hardworking spaces in our homes deserve a little personality.

We started with that vintage-inspired runner and let its palette guide the entire space. The deep indigo became our jumping-off point for the backsplash tile, while warm wood tones, creamy cabinetry, and natural textures brought in the warmth and balance.

The result? A laundry room that feels intentional, collected, and anything but boring. Because if we have to spend time doing laundry, we might as well enjoy the view.

I usually never start a material selection from a rug… but this one made me break my own rule.

This vintage-inspired runner had all the right colors to kick-start the material selections for this laundry room including warm wood tones, creamy whites, and those gorgeous deep indigo blues my client loves.

We carried that indigo into this amazing backsplash tile, giving one of our least-favorite spaces in the home a fun, unexpected pop of color.

Sometimes the perfect design inspiration is hiding in the most unexpected place.

Stay tuned for the Reveal coming in the next post!

From coastal blue to Colorado warmth

Swipe through the transformation:

1. The rendering: Our vision brought to life before the first brushstroke.
2. The finished home: A warm, timeless paint scheme that beautifully complements the existing stone and roof while giving the exterior a fresh, updated feel.
3. The before: The original blue and cream stone had more of a coastal feel, which didn’t quite suit its Colorado surroundings. With the paint beginning to fade, it was the perfect time for a refresh.

Working within the approved HOA color scheme, with a slight modification, we landed on a palette that feels right at home in Colorado—warmer, more grounded, and designed to highlight the character of the stone and roof.

A little color can make a big difference.

A little tile, a lot of personality.

My client wanted this hall bath to be FUN, unique, and anything but ordinary and this tile was such a cool find. The best part? You can mix the patterned pieces with the plain tiles and create your own installation, almost like creating a piece of artwork right on the wall.

For this client, we leaned all the way into the creativity and let the tile become the art. The rendering helped us dream it up, and seeing it come to life in the finished space was even better.

I love when a client trusts the process and is willing to have a little fun with design. This one was definitely one of those projects!

The right paint color can completely transform a space and choosing it is about so much more than picking a pretty swatch.

One of the many benefits of working with an interior designer is having someone who is well-versed in paint colors, undertones, lighting, finishes, and how colors flow from room to room.

I keep my own curated paint deck with larger samples of my favorite colors so we can see them in a more meaningful way and make confident selections for both interior and exterior projects. And because paint colors are always evolving, I’m constantly updating my collection.

Whether you’re refreshing one room, tackling an entire home, or choosing an exterior palette, I’m here to help you find the right color, not just a color you like.

When the progress photo is this good, you don’t wait to post.

Every detail in this space was thoughtfully hand-picked to create a cohesive, calming coastal feel which includes soft neutrals, natural textures, warm wood tones, and subtle touches of blues and greens that bring everything together.

Still a few finishing details to go, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one.
