Palm Tree Pruning Using a Corvellotte in Cartagena, Spain 🇪🇸

Our tree service crew took a special business trip to Cartagena, Spain, where we had the opportunity to experience traditional palm tree pruning techniques firsthand!

During our visit, we pruned a Canary Island Date Palm and a Mexican Fan Palm using the Corvellotte, a specialized palm pruning tool handcrafted by skilled blacksmith Gabriel Rocamora in Cartagena, Spain.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Gabriel’s blacksmith shop, where he walked us through the craftsmanship, techniques, and process behind creating the Corvellotte. From forging the steel to shaping and sharpening each blade, we got an inside look at the skill and dedication that goes into making this unique tool.

It was an incredible experience connecting with fellow craftsmen, learning traditional Spanish palm pruning techniques, and bringing new knowledge back to our tree service operations in Los Angeles.
