MICHAEL BERNIER DESIGN GROUP is a full service landscape design and build company serving the Greater Los Angeles area and all of Southern California. We are a cooperative team of designers, craftsmen, and sustainability experts led by the vision and passion of lead designer Michael Bernier. Our many years of experience have given us the ability to provide our clients with the most creative design, quality materials and best service to make your outdoor living space a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment. We work with our clients as partners, making sure that all their needs are met and advising them on the advantages of different materials, taking meticulous care to listen, communicate, and inform them of progress every step of the way. By utilizing sustainable Xeriscaping design methods and “green” materials, our design solutions emphasize water conservation and ease of maintenance in order to reduce our carbon footprint and excel as good stewards of our environment. BERNIER, founder and lead designer of Bernier Design Group, is a champion for sustainable design and installation practices. Michael’s 25-year career as an award-winning designer has had stints in fashion design, then moving on to branding, advertising and product design, working with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Disney/ESPN, MTV, Nike, and Sony. After studying Landscape Architecture at UCLA, Michael realized his life’s purpose by utilizing his design skills combined with his passion for working with Nature and preserving the environment for generations to come. Michael’s mission is to connect people back to Nature. “I want to show people that we are intimately connected to our environment, and the best way to do that is through the garden. Calm, content people make better choices, and better choices make for a better planet. I really just want to make the world a more beautiful place.”
