The material selected for a walkway affects the appearance, function, maintenance, and durability of the finished project.

Concrete pavers offer consistent sizing and a variety of colors and patterns.

Full-color thermal bluestone provides natural variation with a smooth walking surface.

Granite pavers create a strong, classic New England appearance, while irregular flagstone produces a more natural, less formal design. Cobblestone can also be used to create defined edging and borders.

Before recommending a material, we consider the style of the property, how the space will be used, and the finished appearance the client wants.

This front-entry transformation began with careful planning, grading, and excavation. We installed the proper base for the walkway, shaped the planting beds, and added natural stone and plantings to complete the space.

Milford, MA walkway transformation.

Every great walkway starts below the surface.

Our team removed the existing walkway, excavated the area, installed and compacted the gravel base, and installed the new pavers with a defined border. We finished the project by cleaning up the surrounding beds and applying fresh mulch.

Proper excavation and base preparation are essential to keeping a walkway stable and level over time. The finished details are important, but the work underneath is what makes it last.
