This is exactly why we're so passionate about Build Your Future (BYF) Trades Day!

We love seeing a former BYF student featured in this article and hearing how the experience helped open her eyes to career opportunities in the skilled trades.

Our goal has always been to show students that there are many paths to a successful future. Seeing that mission make a real difference is incredibly rewarding!

We're grateful to the Madison County Builders Association, our local schools, and all the businesses and volunteers who make BYF possible. Women make up only a small percentage of trade workers. Several programs are exposing girls to those jobs to change that.

Our Pendleton community has been hit hard by flooding, and many of our family members, friends, and neighbors are dealing with the impact.

Midwest Remodeling will be closing our office today so our team can step away and help those affected by the flooding.

Pendleton is more than where we do business—it’s our community and our home. Today, our priority is lending a hand wherever we can.

Please stay safe, check on your neighbors, and keep everyone affected by the flooding in your thoughts. 💙

Our Midwest Remodeling office will be closed Thursday and Friday as our team volunteers at Adventure Camp - Pendleton.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside so many incredible volunteers and invest in the next generation. We’ll be back in the office on Monday and will respond to any messages as soon as we can.

Have a great weekend!

Thank you to all of the businesses, schools and community for supporting this amazing event.

Students at Pendleton Heights Middle School put down their textbooks and picked up tools Friday during the school’s Build Your Future Trades Day event.

Behind the scenes of Build Your Future Trades Day…

I don’t think most people realize what it actually takes to pull this event off. It’s not just a “show up and do a project” kind of day.

Right now, we have:
• 100+ volunteers coordinated and scheduled
• 75 totes packed with every supply needed, sorted by project and classroom
• Lesson plans and presentations created for every single station
• Swag bags ready for volunteers to hand out to students
• Student gift bags assembled and ready to hand out
• 10+ large raffle prizes gathered for kids who really engage
• Breakfast and lunch organized for all volunteers and school staff
• Sponsor banners designed and printed
• Newspaper, TV, local politicians, and school leaders all lined up to attend

And that doesn’t even cover all the small details that make the day run smoothly.

This event reaches over 450 7th grade students and gives them hands-on exposure to the trades before they choose their high school pathway. For a lot of these kids, it’s their first time holding tools, meeting contractors, or even realizing this is a real career option.

The goal isn’t to master a trade in a day—it’s to spark interest and confidence.

Midwest Remodeling pours a ton of time and energy into this because we believe in it. Not because we have to… but because it matters.

It takes a whole community to make something like this happen, and we’re lucky to have so many people who show up and give their time.

These pictures are just a small glimpse of what goes into one day.
