Not every nightmare needs an exorcist. Some just need Impact Building. 🎃 🍁 👻

Before the first wall goes up, a home already has a story. ❤️

Last Friday, we gathered at 100 Elm Street in Charlevoix to celebrate the beginning of something special. A new home for Alex, Sarah, Reed and Jameson Rost.

Adam built a front door header just for the occasion. Family and friends filled it with Bible verses, handwritten blessings, prayers and even the boys' height measurements. And the best part? That very header will become part of their new home. A little piece of this beautiful day, built right into its walls.

There was a ribbon cutting, ch*****ne, charcuterie, little boots in the dirt and plenty of laughter. The Rost family turned the first shovels of dirt before the excavator officially got to work.

The boys played tackle football on what will soon be their front lawn. Our own Jesse got to join in the fun. And one little cousin, in the middle of potty training, even gave the land a blessing of his own! 😂

The sunshine couldn't have been more perfect.

Someday, this will be the place where these boys grow up, where memories are made and where life happens. But we'll always remember how it began.

Alex and Sarah, we are truly honored to build your home. Even more so, we're honored to build for a family who helps build this community.

Here's to the Rost family and all the memories yet to be made. 🥂

Our new Impact Building office is taking shape at 315 W Mitchell Street or 316 Madison in Petoskey, and it’s pretty exciting watching this one come together.

A new home for our crew, our clients, and what’s ahead.

Building Impact.

This guy has built a LOT of homes.

For years, Travis has taken plans on paper and helped turn them into places where people raise their families, celebrate holidays, make memories and live their lives.

And he is beyond incredibly talented at what he does.

Travis has been with us since almost the beginning, and when I look at everything we’ve built over the years, his hands are all over it.

Now here he is, helping us build the new home for Impact Building. ❤️

There’s something pretty special about that.

Our century old building is getting the TLC that it deserves. Located right on Hwy 31 in downtown Petoskey, this space is transforming for long term Impact 🙌.

MEET YOUR BUILDERS | Adam & Alan
Two brothers working side by side. Doing what they love, together. You won’t catch Adam on the framing crew every day anymore. These days, much of his time is spent running projects, meeting with customers and keeping Impact moving.
But framing?
He misses it.
So every once in a while, when he gets the chance, he grabs his tools and jumps back in beside his brother.
Alan is our foreman. He’s one of the guys out there every day, leading our crew, building homes and carrying the standard we’ve worked hard to create at Impact.
These two know hard work. They know grit. They love their families, their community and the place they call home.
And there’s just something pretty cool about catching two brothers up there together, doing what they’ve done for years.
These are your builders.

Build the house.
But don’t forget to build the life around it.
Summer nights. Bare feet. Kids in the yard. One more log on the fire.
The spaces you remember aren't always inside the house.

HOME NOTE No. 001 | When you walk in, you’ll know. This home was designed and built for the moments that matter most. Impact Building and Renovations.

FIELD NOTE No. 002 | FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

There’s more happening in this picture than a siding job.

That’s Adam on one ladder and our son Joshua on the other. Joshua is spending part of his summer break working alongside his dad, learning the craft, one job and one lesson at a time.

And together, they’re giving this Rush Street home new life for the generation ahead.

A father passing down a trade.

A home being cared for so it can keep telling its story.

There’s something pretty special about both happening at the same time. ❤️
