Central Texas is expecting freezing temperatures late this week and early next week. I would like to share a couple precautions you can take to personally prevent/reduce issues with your sprinkler system.

These are the main two items I would highly recommend:
1. Turn the panel to off - you don't want the system running or pressurized during freezing temps.

2. Shut off water to the irrigation system - this is located closer to the street at the backflow device or ball valve located between backflow and main water meter.

Other precautionary items:
3. Drain backflow.
4. Blow pipes - not necessarily needed unless we will have a prolonged period of time with freezing temps.

If you don't feel comfortable doing these things yourself, we'd be happy to help you with your sprinkler system!
