A new bigger tv prompted me to make some changes in my own house. True to form, I searched for something I could refinish. But after living with the fourth photo for a while I started thinking, what if I cut the top of those shelves off?

Cutting the shelves off was easy, but it wasn’t perfectly even. With some bondo, lots of sanding, and unexpected high temps in the Chicago land area, I was able to finish this in a couple of weeks.

This client decided they wanted their home to feel like it was perfectly curated for them!

We began with paint! 🎨

Paint is so easy, it makes a huge difference, and you can always paint it again!

I adore the beautiful dark blue and love the way the color drench changed this entire room. 💙

Sometimes I’m painting, sometimes I’m decorating! Let me know what I can help with at your home.

Paint tile??? Oops-I did it again!!

Sometimes you just want a small band-aid to get you through until you can do the full renovation!

Last week I painted this backsplash, and it turned out awesome! It’s paint—but there are really great paint products that hold up for a long time!

I usually decorate this lovely home, but this time I was able to upgrade a piece that’s just too lovely to let go.

The change is subtle, but it packs a big punch!

This is a stunning piece of high quality furniture but neither me nor the owner wanted to let it go. I suggested paint, and she said yes!

In addition to decorating and refinishing fireplaces, I refinish furniture-it’s been a passion of mine for years.

I love to take a piece that people can’t part with and make it fresh and new. We may decide to paint the wood in back-but for now we’re going to see what we think and if we think the inside needs to be brighter, I’ll do that too!

Do you have a piece of furniture that you love, but the finish is dated? I can help!
