The average first freeze at DFW lands on November 22. Most fall yard lists come from places where the ground freezes solid. Ours almost never does, so the timing changes.

Here's the North Texas version. 7 jobs, 6 of them for your trees, because that's where the money is standing. The lawn gets 1, and it's the easy job.

Save it for Saturday. See a crack or a dead limb over the roof? An ISA Certified Arborist will walk the property and tell you which ones matter.

Every time we feed your trees' soil, we aerate it too.

Watch the first 2 seconds. That's the tip of our deep root probe, spraying a full 360 degrees at about 200 PSI.

The pressure does 2 jobs. It puts our Core Soil Health mix down at the roots, and it loosens the soil around them. Looser soil gives your trees room to breathe, so more water gets in and more air moves through.

A spray on the leaves can't do either one.

I passed 3 or 4 broken limbs on the ground in Richardson today. Every one came off a tree somebody pruned wrong.

Winds ran 30 to 40 mph, with gusts near 50. This limb came down next to the street. The red oak above it has more limbs like it hanging over the road, and the next one could land on a person or a car.

Someone stripped the inside of the tree and left the leaves out on the tips of long, skinny branches. That's lion's tailing. A branch like that catches wind like a sail and snaps in the middle.

Proper pruning takes weight off the ends and leaves the inside growth alone. It takes longer. Wind, rain and ice are all coming this fall and winter, and the stripped trees are the ones that drop limbs.

Look up at your trees. If the inside is bare and the leaves sit at the tips, call us before the next storm. Know a neighbor with a tree like this? Send them this video.

Elon let us take the Roadster for a test flight.

He wanted the best tree care company in the Dallas area to see if it speeds up tree work. It does. Bonus: the jets clear your gutters on the way up.

Benjamin Vargas, one of our ISA Certified Arborists, shortened that limb back to a side branch. That's a reduction cut. The side branch takes over, and the oak keeps its shape. Topping can't do that.

(Elon didn't call, and this Tesla Roadster is AI. The cut is how we prune.)

Our whole crew showed up to a Frisco job in pink, and nobody lost a bet.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Same climbs, same cleanup, better color.

For everyone in the fight, and everyone standing next to someone in it: we see you. Tag the person you'd wear pink for.

Our fall tree visit has zero fertilizer in it. On purpose.

No nitrogen, no phosphorus, no potassium. We build the soil instead, with 2 products at the root zone.

Core Carbon: biochar opens up the soil and holds water. Humic keeps nutrients near the roots. Fish and kelp get the soil microbes moving after a summer of drought and heat. Yucca moves water down.

Core Biology: mycorrhizae, the fungi that team up with roots, plus microbes that help roots grow through fall and winter.

It doesn't smell great. That means it's good for your trees.

Together they make what's already in your soil available to your trees.
