While the final product is always what we enjoy most, the key is getting there the right way! The subfloor on this one was in pretty bad shape, but we made sure to grind / clean, apply a suitable primer to self level, apply a preferred 3 part membrane and then install this LVP so it will ensure it lasts as long as the warranty provides! Every now and then if you listen closely you will hear life give you a subtle whisper saying "Im hot too!" 😅. Not only has the weather been hot, but this bathroom is on fire as well 🔥. It didnt come easy though, it was like a child on isle five who was told "no you cant get the candy" as it came kicking and screaming the entire way!

One hurdle led to another obstacle, but in true fashion we consider ourselves problem solvers so hey if you got a problem well solve it 🧊 🧊 👶.
36x36 LFT on the main floor, matching 12x24 on the lower half of the shower and behind the soaker, a pencil trim with 2x8 velutto tile on the top half of the shower.
Curb, bench and window 2x8 are all mitered for a luxury finish and a mosaic fan tile behind the vanity to finish this one with class and style!

From start to finish this install required a lot of extra work just to get it to the install portion. The drywall was out of whack everywhere and needed 8hrs of floating, sanding and primer just to get it to a decent workable surface with plumb corners.

After that was solved, we worked on the window wrap to give it a nice finish look! All edges touching counter top, cabinets and drywall are siliconed so it wont crack later! As always regardless of the problem ahead, we can solve it!

This was a referral to us for a shower floor tile repair. The previous tile was not able to be salvaged so they wanted to swap it out for this smaller mosaic tile. We first lined the glass panels with protective foam then removed the old tile. Next we skim coated and fixed the slope of the pan and installed the new tile, then wrapped it up with Mapei FA grout.

Over the years we have seen a transition into quicker and faster methods to build showers. Due to the yearly events and training we take part in, we have also seen those quicker faster methods have a higher failure rate over time as its exposed to constant use and different elements. We prefer to stick with what has stood the test of time which is cement based products!

This is why we believe in a cinder block bench, concrete curb, cement based backer boards and mud bed shower pans!

Take a peak at this "mother of pearl" mosaic we are installing! The 🔑 here was making sure the walls were flat and corners were plumb by applying hot mud, then using our screed shims to get everything just right before applying a quality grade primer! The next challenge is wrapping the window with this 1/16" thick tile!

Mosaic installs are always a challenge, especially when gravity comes into play on a vertical install! Throw a large window into the mix and now you have an even bigger obstacle to make sure it all meets up correctly on the return. 📐

Thankfully we graduated tape measure and layout college for this one to come together and wrap perfectly! ✏️

Every orange piece of tape is the tiles we had to grind to get this 8' x 6' mosaic wall to work. The hard part is that while its flat on the floor thanks to gravity, this same gravity will come into play once we start installing this on our mosaic wall. Another reason why proper planning will ensure it looks just as good once installed!
