Hear from Ruth!

We were able to solve the problem of a steep, slippery slope leading up to her mailbox by installing these awesome natural stone steps!

Not only does it make getting to the mailbox much safer and easier, but it looks great too! I think this project turned out amazing!

Earlier this year, we completed several hardscape features at this beautiful new home, including a seating area, steps, and raised planting beds. We recently came back to finish up the landscaping around those areas, along with the side walkway.

One of the main goals with this planting project was to soften up the backyard and give it a more established feel. With this being a new build, everything was pretty open, so we wanted to incorporate a row of trees that will eventually provide some nice shade, break up the direct sunlight, and make the outdoor space feel a little more comfortable and inviting.

We installed a mix of columnar white pines, a beautiful Armstrong Gold maple, and Golden Pillar cypress, along with hydrangeas, ferns, coral bells, ornamental grasses, and other low-growing plants to fill everything in.

I think the combination of the hardscape and new plantings really brought the whole space together! And the best part is that it’s only going to look better as everything grows and matures.

A big shoutout to New Dungeness Nursery for supplying the plants, and to Stew Cockburn for always being great to work with and helping us get everything together!

We’re looking forward to coming back in the spring to tackle the rest of the landscaping and continue bringing this property to life.
