Can’t decide if I like this new pen kit or not 🤔

Slowly getting ready for craft show season…

I’ve been clean for about 6-8 months but I broke down and visited my dealer (hard/exotic woods) … after a quick greeting I was asked if I still turn pens. 🖊️ Long story short (too late 😂) He supplies the blanks (pink ivory and wild olive). I supply the hardware and labor. I get compensated in store credit. ❤️ I know I’ve gotten remarkably better at woodworking the past few years but it’s still amazes me when people specifically ask me to make something, especially a fellow woodworker and someone who knows a ton of other woodworkers!

It’s been to long but I’ve gotten in some pen therapy two days in a row! The blue one is from a resin blank I made myself and the other is an amazing buckeye burl hybrid I was gifted.

It’s been forever since I was able to make anything but hopefully I’ll find the time for a few pens this weekend🤞

Bounce house weekend and weekday baths don’t leave a lot of time for woodworking 😢

Last two weeks worth of therapy … one of them is an elusive (to me anyway) black palm pen 🖊️. Fun fact black palm isn’t a type of wood but a type of grass and it took me 6 attempts to finally finish one (all the others blew apart or crumbled).
