Crocosmia 'Walberton Yellow' is the perfect compact perennial to brighten up your garden in late summer. The rich golden-yellow to orange flowers nearly glow in the sun, attracting pollinators and wandering eyes alike.

If you find yourself in the area this weekend, come say hi to us at the Port Townsend farmers market on Saturday, or the Chimacum farmers market on Sunday! We look forward to seeing everyone.

We highlight Gladiolus 'Ruby' near-annually because some things just never go out of style. When there's a better red Glad out there let us know. Until then you can find us in the greenhouse dividing corms and singing "Know what you're doing doing to me" along with the Kaiser Chiefs

Monardella macrantha 'Marian Sampson' is the perfect plant for any spot with good drainage and full sun, be it a rock garden or gravel pit. We especially love the way the tubular red flowers shine in our crevice garden on a sunny day. This small subshrub is loved by hummingbirds and butterflies alike, and is drought tolerant and deer resistant.

Now that summer has arrived, we wanted to remind you that we have closed shipping for a few months. Worry not, we will start shipping again September 14th! If you are local to us, you are welcome to pick up any online orders in person through summer.

If you’re starting to build orders for September, may we suggest Primula florindae Keilor Hybrids. This candelabra hybrid has many nodding fragrant flowers that range from yellow to red to bronze. This moisture loving semi-evergreen is a beautiful addition to a shady spot.

Silene alpestris 'Flore Pleno' has bright white double flowers that sit on a thin wire of a stem above narrow leaves. We love the way wind makes the flowers dance around in late spring and early summer. Makes for a great rock garden plant and is hardy to zone 5.

For all of our local friends, please join us for Hilltop Bingo on June 24th from 7-10pm to support the conservancy. We are excited to see you all there!

Diplarrena moraea is simply put, a beautiful plant. This Butterfly Iris is a lovely clumping evergreen with thin stems that hold the enchanting, subtly fragrant, flowers well above the leaves.

Umbilicus (syn. Chiastophyllum) oppositifolium is a small but mighty staple in our garden. The evergreen succulent-like fleshy leaves are misleading as they prefer the shade, and the pendulous string of yellow flowers keeps captivating us year after year.

If you’re in search of an ornamental fruit tree that isn’t like the others, I recommend looking no further than Photinia beauverdiana H2MD 096. In the spring the simple white flowers sparkle among the leaves before turning into showy clusters of orange-red fruit through autumn. Lets not forget that this is a Photinia (syn. Pourthiaea beauverdiana) so its autumnal colors are the cherry on top.
