All true teas—green, black, yellow, oolong, dark, and white—are derived from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis.

Our Korean tea seedlings produce clusters of tiny white flowers every fall, and the plant itself is much more heat and drought tolerant than other camellias. Ideally, you would plant it in a space with morning sun, afternoon shade, and moist, acidic, well-drained soil.

The alternating pink and white petals on the fall and winter flowering Camellia ‘Yume’ look like candy in the garden!

Yume is a prolific, fragrant bloomer. Unlike many camellias, it can even handle a bit more sun—although it will always perform best in part shade to shade.

Light: Part sun to shade
Soil: Acidic and well-drained
Size: 5-6’ tall and wide
