This is the first Nep cross I attempted all by my lonesome in 2024. It produced a nice seed pod but a whopping ONE seedling, which now lives the spoiled life because I adore it! Look at those cute little whiskers!

Despite my ardent support of the International Carnivorous Plant Society - ICPS and the global community, Leiden was not in the cards for me this year. However, I absolutely love seeing everyone’s pics and videos! Happy ICPS World Conference!

Here are a few select beauties from the backyard to keep the machine fat and happy 🌱

We had a most excellent time at the Oregon Carnivorous Plant Community show and sale over the weekend. Big thanks to Portland Nursery and Carson Trexler for hosting and planning!

The event was full nonstop, but I was able to snag a few pics, and caught some great candid snaps.

There is already buzz about planning another local event! 🐝

I have stratified and sown a million Sarracenia seeds by now, but you never forget your first time! I got extra lucky and successfully germinated several of these back in 2021. They were labeled Okee minor OP, though these are surprisingly true to form if they were indeed open-pollinated. Love this genus!

I got a teeny tiny truncata from Florae back when they were still Native Exotics. It’s not so tiny anymore!

Sometimes shipping can cost almost as much as the plant….but guess what? Etsy orders over $35 ship free! Wouldn’t you rather spend your hard-earned money on a second plant instead? Let us worry about shipping costs!

Something odd caught my eye while checking out the Sarracenia. It took me a moment to realize that the bee had fallen prey to a hidden danger.

Carson Trexler - what an exceptional accomplishment!

I am thrilled for you, and so very grateful for your mentorship, friendship, and continual support. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this research and try to remember all the intricate botanical details you have taught me over the years. This is truly something to celebrate!

Congratulations!! 🌱💚
