SEPTEMBER 11 — 25 YEARS OF REMEMBRANCE

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, Keeping the Faith in Downtown Provo joins together in remembrance of the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage.

As a community of many faiths, traditions, and backgrounds, we are reminded that some of our greatest strength is found in standing together. We honor this day by choosing compassion over division, service over indifference, and understanding over fear.

May our remembrance inspire us to keep building a Downtown Provo where neighbors care for neighbors, different voices are welcomed, and people of faith and goodwill work side by side for the common good.

May we remember with reverence, serve with compassion, and continue building community together.

Labor Day: Honoring the Hands That Built Our History

This Labor Day, Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ honors the generations of workers, craftspeople, volunteers, and community members whose hands helped build and preserve this historic church.

For more than a century, this building has stood because people were willing to give their time, skill, creativity, and hard work to something they believed was worth preserving. From the original construction to decades of repairs, improvements, and today’s Cornerstone Restoration Project, every generation has added its own chapter to the story.

The work continues today as we preserve and restore this historic landmark for future generations. Find out more about the work still ahead at keepingthefaithprovo.org.

Happy 4th of July from Keeping the Faith in Downtown Provo!

As our nation prepares to celebrate America 250, we are reminded that history is not just something we remember — it is something we continue to build together. Today, we give thanks for community, freedom, faith, and the many people who have helped shape this country's story.

May this Independence Day be filled with gratitude, reflection, celebration, and hope for the future we share.

SAVE THE DATE — CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF AMERICA!

This July, the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ invites the community to join us for two festive events celebrating faith, fellowship, tradition, and 250 years of America in the heart of downtown Provo.

Start your Independence Day with our annual Pancake Breakfast Parade Fundraiser on Saturday, July 4, from 6:30–9:30 a.m. Enjoy pancakes, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and your choice of orange juice, coffee, milk, or water for just $8 a meal. Guests are welcome to dine in our air-conditioned Fellowship Hall, relax on the terrace, or grab breakfast to go before enjoying the parade festivities.

Then join us again on Sunday, July 5, at 12:30 p.m. for Red, White & BBQ, part of America’s Potluck and the celebration of 250 years of American history and community. Following worship, we’ll gather in the courtyard for hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, drinks, and summer fun. Guests are invited to bring a favorite side dish, salad, or dessert to share as we celebrate together in a spirit of gratitude, friendship, and community.

All events will be held at 175 North University Avenue in Provo, Utah. We hope you’ll make plans now to join us for this joyful weekend of celebration!
