Forget the “too soon”.
Ignore the judgment.
Let go of what anyone thinks.
There’s no right or wrong time to decorate your home.
If your heart is ready, start decorating.
If you need a little comfort, start decorating.
Turn on a Christmas movie or your favorite Christmas songs.
Bring out a pillow or two.
Hang a wreath.
Add some twinkle lights.
Whatever feels like joy to you, DO THAT.
Because some days and some years we just need a little extra light.
A little more warmth.
A whole lot of hope.
And maybe a little Christmas
is exactly what our hearts need right now.

There are countless prayers underneath so many ordinary moments.

Whether I’m working on a project, folding laundry, or working out, somewhere beneath it all, my heart is having an entirely different conversation with God.

“Lord, I’m scared.
I don’t know what comes next.
Please do what I cannot.
Because I truly cannot.”

I’m learning that I don’t have to wait until I feel steady or ready to come to Him. I can show up with the fear I thought I had already surrendered. I can pray the same prayer again and again. I can believe in His power and still need His help getting through the afternoon.

I think we often can carry an extra burden in difficult seasons, the feeling that our faith should make us less affected by what we love so deeply. But Jesus wept, too. There is margin for tears in a heart that trusts Him. Today, I’m reminding my own soul that He still does miracles. I don’t know how He will answer every prayer I’m carrying, and some days the uncertainty aches. But I can cry out to Him with that, too.

If you’re carrying something tender beneath the ordinary work of your day, I hope you’ll feel less alone here. You don’t have to find beautiful words or gather yourself first. My table has an extra leaf and an empty chair just for you ✨

The prayer you can barely whisper is still a prayer He hears. Don’t walk this season alone. 🤍
