A little bit of everything on this Redding property — but those fruitless mulberries were the stars of the show. 🎬

HAZARD REMOVED. HOME PROTECTED. 🌳🪚

Today Eddy and the crew were out in Cottonwood, CA taking down a hazardous oak that had become a serious threat to the homeowner’s house and outdoor pergola.
With a tree this close to structures, there’s no room for shortcuts. The crew carefully brought it down while protecting the property and surrounding area — and we caught some pretty awesome footage along the way. 🎥🔥

The Grass Fire is a pretty stark reminder of just how quickly wildfire conditions can change.

When you see fire moving through open grass and rural land, with homes, ranches, livestock and crews spread across a huge area, it’s hard not to think about what we’ve already seen here in Northern California.

The Carr Fire showed Redding how quickly wind and embers can carry fire into neighborhoods.

The Park Fire was another reminder that the danger doesn’t always end when the flames move through. Burned trees and standing snags can stay hazardous long after the main fire has passed.

David saw that firsthand while working near Viola during the Park Fire.

The biggest takeaway is simple: wildfire preparation needs to happen before things get urgent.

That means clearing dry brush, reducing ladder fuels, checking hazardous trees, keeping roads and gates accessible and making sure you have a plan to get people and animals out if conditions change fast.
