๐ 5 Things Your Lawn Needs Before Winter!
As temperatures begin to drop across Northern Nevada, your lawn's needs are changing too. But before the growing season comes to an end, there are a few simple things you can do to help your turf prepare for winter.
๐ฑ 1. Keep mowing while your lawn is growing. Avoid cutting too short as temperatures cool.
๐ 2. Clear fallen leaves. Heavy leaf buildup can block sunlight and trap moisture against the grass.
๐ง 3. Adjust your watering. Cooler weather generally means your lawn needs less water than during the summer months.
๐ฟ 4. Check for damaged areas. Take note of thinning turf, bare patches or compacted soil that may need attention.
๐ฑ 5. Plan ahead for spring. Identify any lawn repairs or sod projects you'd like to tackle when the growing season returns.
A little attention now can make a big difference when spring arrives.
