What's for Sunday dinner?

If you haven't figured it out yet, we've got an idea for you!

This week's recipe is Sunday Roast Chicken & Potatoes using J.O. Chicken Dust — simple, hearty, and most of the work happens right in one roasting pan. 🥔🥕

Save the recipe for later, or give it a try tonight!
And of course, you can grab your J.O. Chicken Dust right here at Ridge Hardware!

😂 OKAY… STORY TIME. 😂

Some of you may remember that a year or so ago we made a post saying…
🎉 ONLINE ORDERING — COMING SOON! 🎉

Well....
“Soon” has apparently taken on a VERY different meaning here at Ridge Hardware. 😂

So, where is it?!
The good news: The online ordering system exists! You’ll eventually be able to order online and then come pick everything up right here at the store.
The bad news: Donnie. 😂
You see, our online ordering system requires us to update Windows on our store computers.
Donnie is VERY firmly from the school of:
“If it ain’t broke, DON’T FIX IT.”
And according to Donnie, the computers turn on every morning, they do what they’re supposed to do, and therefore there is absolutely no reason to mess with them. 😂

So here we are.
Waiting patiently for our current Windows: Dinosaur Edition™ to eventually give up on life. 🦖💻
When that glorious day finally comes and we’re FORCED to update everything, we’ll be able to get our online ordering up and running too! 🙌
So yes… online ordering is STILL coming.
We just apparently have to wait for a computer to die first. 😂😂

Until then, you’ll have to keep doing things the old-fashioned Ridge Hardware way — stop in and see us or give us a call at 301-872-0444. ❤️🔨

And Donnie… if you’re reading this, your computer needs an update. 😇

🌺🔥 NEW AT RIDGE HARDWARE — DA KINE HAWAIIAN! 🔥🌺

I had samples of these sent to me before we brought them into the store because, well… somebody had to do the important research. 😂 And after trying them, they definitely earned a spot on our shelves!

My favorite so far has been the Smoky Rub + Smoky BBQ Sauce combo. 🤤

🐷 I seasoned pork butt pieces with the Smoky Rub, slow cooked them on the grill, then toward the end started adding the Smoky BBQ Sauce and let it cook on until it got nice and sticky & caramelized.

🍗 I did the same thing with grilled chicken thighs — Smoky Rub first, cook them, then sauce toward the end until it gets sticky.
SO. GOOD. 🔥

I also tried the Original Rub on fresh green beans and they were AMAZING! Definitely don't limit these seasonings to just meat.

Next on my list is that Hot Soy Sauce. 👀🌶️ I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to have to!

We brought in:
🌺 Smoky BBQ Sauce — $9.29
🌺 Spicy BBQ Sauce — $9.29
🌺 Hot Sauce — $7.29
🌺 Hot Soy Sauce — $7.29
🌺 Original Rub — $6.99
🌺 Smoky Rub — $6.99
🌺 Spicy Rub — $6.99

If you like grilling, smoking or just trying something different for dinner, come check out the new Da Kine Hawaiian section!

And if you want my recommendation on where to start: Smoky Rub + Smoky BBQ Sauce. Get both. 😂🔥

🚰😂 THINGAMAJIG THURSDAY — ROUND #4! 🔧

We're heading to the plumbing aisle this week… good luck. 👀

"I need one of those little pieces of pipe. It's not really a whole pipe because it's pretty short. It's got those little twisty line things on BOTH ends so you can screw something onto each side. They come in different lengths and sizes. I just need a regular one… whatever regular means." 😂

🤔 WHAT THE HECK AM I LOOKING FOR?

Drop your guess in the comments! ⬇️

Ridge Hardware employees — YOU KNOW THE RULES. KEEP QUIET. 🤐😂

🥔 WHAT’S FOR DINNER? WE’VE GOT AN 89¢/LB ANSWER. 😂

We still have fresh, locally grown white potatoes at Ridge Hardware for just 89¢/lb!

And if plain potatoes aren’t exciting enough, take a stroll around the store while you’re here… 👀

Because we might just have a seasoning or two that’ll turn those potatoes into something GOOD. 😋

Cut ’em into wedges, toss them with a little oil and seasoning, and throw them in the oven or air fryer.

Mash ’em. Bake ’em. Fry ’em. Grill ’em. Smash ’em.

At about 3 potatoes per pound depending on size, dinner doesn’t have to cost much!
