Another Transformation by Meraki Custom Finishes!

We’re excited to share the finished results of this church basement makeover! This project included the main area, kitchen, and bathrooms, all upgraded with a fresh new epoxy flake floor system.

As we mentioned in our previous post, a lot of work went into preparing these floors before the new system could even be installed. From extensive concrete grinding and surface preparation to asbestos encapsulation, thorough cleaning, specialty primer, and leveling agent, every step was important to achieve the proper coverage and a quality finished product.

The end result is a beautiful, refreshed space with a durable, easy-to-clean floor system that’s ready for years of use!

At Meraki Custom Finishes, we take pride in the preparation and craftsmanship that go into every project. It's not just about the finished look — it's about doing the job right from the ground up!

Some projects require a little more work than others, and this one was definitely a challenge from the start.
This patio and carport floor had a failing concrete overlay and epoxy flake system that was previously installed by another contractor. Before we could create a beautiful, long-lasting floor, everything that was failing had to be removed properly. After extensive grinding, surface preparation, and repairs, we were able to install a brand-new epoxy flake floor system built to last.
The transformation speaks for itself! A solid foundation and proper preparation are the key to any successful coating system, and we're proud to give this floor a second chance the right way.
If your existing floor is peeling, cracking, or failing, don't assume it can't be fixed. Give Meraki Custom Finishes a call and let us help bring it back to life.

Another day, another epoxy flake floor system prep while battling the rain!
This project came with its own set of challenges. We had to remove a failing concrete overlay and flake system that was previously installed, then properly prepare the concrete for a long-lasting new coating system.
A successful floor starts with the prep work. Taking the time to remove failing materials and create a solid foundation is the difference between a floor that lasts for years and one that doesn't.
Despite the weather trying to slow us down, we're making progress and getting this floor ready for its transformation. Stay tuned for the finished results—you won't want to miss this one!

This one is definitely a special one for me.
We recently shared the prep work for this garage, and now the transformation is complete with a beautiful epoxy flake floor system. While every project means something to us, this one carries a little extra sentimental value. This was the last house my dad and I built together and the last concrete floor I helped him pour.
Being able to come back years later, grind, prep, and transform one of his floors into something new was truly meaningful. I'd like to think he was looking down, watching every step of the process and taking pride in the finished product.
The floor is now protected, durable, easy to maintain, and ready for many years of use. Thank you to everyone who follows along and supports our work—it means more than you know.

Some projects mean a little more than others.
We prepped and ground this garage floor in preparation for another epoxy flake floor system, but this one carries a lot of sentimental value for me. This was the last house I built with my dad and the last concrete floor I helped pour alongside him.
As I worked through the prep process, it brought back a lot of memories. I like to think he's looking down, watching me get one of his nice concrete pours ready for its next transformation.
At Meraki Custom Finishes, every floor starts with proper preparation, and this one is no exception. Stay tuned as we give this garage the upgrade it deserves with a durable, long-lasting epoxy flake floor system.
A special project, a lot of memories, and a makeover in the making.

This garage floor was in need of some serious attention. Years of wear and tear left the concrete extremely worn, requiring extensive patch work and surface preparation before we could install this beautiful epoxy flake floor system.
As always, proper prep is the key to a long-lasting, durable finish. The result is a clean, seamless floor that not only looks great but is built to handle years of use while being easy to maintain.
