MIDLOTHIAN WEST TOWNHOMES

Another piece of the Midlothian West Townhomes project is complete!

The new right-of-way portion of the intersection at Old Otterdale Road and Midlothian Turnpike is now finished and open to traffic. A new roundabout was installed to accommodate the growing community as construction continues on the future Midlothian West Townhomes.

With new residents moving in soon, this is one more piece of infrastructure helping make room for what’s coming next.

This is a CAT AP1055F Paver, responsible for laying and spreading the asphalt that becomes the roads and parking lots we use every day. It’s one of the key pieces of equipment that helps turn asphalt into a smooth, finished surface.

At Blakemore, there’s a lot that goes into building the infrastructure that keeps Richmond moving. And sometimes, it starts with a machine like this.

This World Architecture Day, we’re celebrating the architects, engineers and construction professionals who turn big ideas into infrastructure that keeps us moving.

From BMPs to roadways, we’re proud to build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps Richmond moving.

This Graham Meadows BMP project was a big undertaking for Henrico County. Accessing the site alone required more than 500 feet of wood mats. Once we got there, our team mucked out the basin and restored it to its original capacity, helping ensure it can continue holding stormwater for years to come.

Another project completed. Another piece of infrastructure working the way it should.
