Welcoming Todd McCree of Great Escape Farms to our Pawpaw Festival. Todd is the most knowledgable person at our festival when it comes to Pawpaw trees and will be speaking about them on stage at our Festival. Todd will also be having a vending booth where he can answer any questions and will have select seedling Pawpaw trees for sale!

Pawpaw Festival 2026 – Official Information
We’re excited to welcome everyone to the Pawpaw Festival on September 12, 2026 at 60 Pirate Circle, Paw Paw, WV 25434.
This celebration of Appalachian roots, local makers, music, and the pawpaw fruit is one of our favorite days of the year.

🟡 Who Runs the Festival?
The Pawpaw Festival is not run by the Town of Paw Paw.
We are a fully volunteer‑organized community event.
We deeply appreciate the town’s support — including their donation and waived fees — but all planning, vendor coordination, and operations are handled by our festival team.

This festival began because one person had a dream, and our volunteers work hard each year to bring that dream to life for the whole community.

Fresh pawpaw, pawpaw pudding, baked goods, and creative dishes from local vendors.

Because the festival is held on school property, our insurance requirements and the school’s policies do not permit pets on the grounds.
Trained service animals are always welcome.

FARM CRAWL !!!

It’s that time of year again – Farm Crawl! And Great Escape Farms is taking part in Farm Crawl on Saturday July 11th from 10AM to 4PM. Come out and do a self-paced or a guided tour. Purchase unique edible plants at our nursery for a 10% discount. Details below.

Farm Crawl Farm Tours:
Two Options: Self-paced/self-guided farm tours or we will be giving guided 30-minute farm tours each hour on the hour. Don’t feel that you are committing to the full time slot. You can join mid-tour and drop off whenever you feel you’d like to. The guided tours are in our perennial sheet mulch garden where we explain how it is designed and put together for almost no money and there are many unique edible plants you can sample during the tour if you choose.

Plants: As a Farm Crawl special, all plants will be 10% off the ticked price. We will have a person available to help you with plant sales throughout the day – you don’t have to wait for the farm tours to stop.

Plant Nursery
Our unique edible plants are propagated and grown on the farm with only a few exceptions.
Each plant either produces edible berries, fruits or is of itself entirely edible. When we say unique, we mean that our plants are generally items that you cannot find locally at that big box stores. Things like Elderberry, Pawpaw, Hardy Kiwi, Persimmon, Honeyberry, Hardy Fig, Sea Kale, Anise Hyssop, Hazelnut, Hardy Passion Flower, and many other items.
