Let’s talk about a little color change! 💛

A customer sent me this photo asking why her candles were turning yellow. If you’ve noticed this with yours, don’t panic—this can be completely normal with soy candles!

Over time, light exposure and certain fragrance ingredients can cause white or creamy wax to develop a yellow or tan tint. Vanilla-type ingredients are especially known for this! Each fragrance behaves differently, which explains why one candle may change color while another stays creamy white.

This normal discoloration is cosmetic—it doesn’t mean your candle has gone bad or become unsafe to burn.

At Farmstead Candle Co., we use 100% soy wax and don’t add color inhibitors to keep our candles looking white. We choose to keep our formula simple and leave out additives used solely for appearance. Making quality candles with safety in mind matters much more to us than keeping every jar perfectly white. 🤍

Keeping your candles away from direct sunlight can help slow those color changes. A little golden glow? Just part of your candle’s personality! 😉

She’s new here, but apparently nobody told her to act humble. 🎃😉

Marshmallow Frosted Pumpkin joined our 2026 Autumn Collection and went straight to being one of our best-selling fragrances at Junkstock. And honestly? We get it.

Spiced pumpkin, warm vanilla, fluffy marshmallow, cinnamon, and a little orange zest. She smells like you spent the afternoon baking when you’ve actually accomplished absolutely nothing. Our kind of multitasking. 🙌

The sun has apparently quit its job, and I’d like to know where the hell our fall weather is. Since we’re stuck inside staring at the same four walls, we might as well make the house smell like dessert.

It’s apple pickin’ season—and thank God I ain’t got no apples to pick. 😂🍎

I just finished a massive pour of about 350 candles and nearly 200 wax melts! NEW this year, Apple Harvest has already become a crowd favorite, with notes of orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, clove and vanilla. It smells like fall in a jar! 🍂🕯️

A little note from the candle shop: wholesale orders are running around 7–10 business days, while retail orders are typically shipping within 2–3 business days.

I’m right in the middle of busy season while also working on my winter collection. Lord help me! 😂
