Lourdes Cuevas | Barro Décor LLC: I am Lourdes Cuevas ( Lu), ceramic studio artist who loves creating handmade pottery that brings joy to everyday life. My pottery journey started 16 years ago. I work primarily with stoneware clay, creating functional pottery . I love to explore shapes and vibrant colors to make each piece unique.

Remo Piracci | Pottery by Remo: Woodfiring integrates the creativity of nature and is a source of inspiration when I design a vessel. I incorporate the Thai method of clay building and use pine wood and salt/or soda during the last hours of a three-day firing to enhance my work in my 60 cu. ft. Sasukenei smokeless kiln.

Paula Rogalski | Whitesides Studio: I am a ceramic artist exploring the medium’s ability to mimic nature, assume function and take a sculptural form. Through self-study and practice, I enjoy exploring the space between functional and sculptural ceramics incorporating natural influences while embracing clay as a collaborator. My pieces are deeply influenced by the outdoors through observing natural forms and organic growth patterns, subtly irregular shapes, layered glazes and textures that echo nature fused into utilitarian pieces. My studio, Whitesides Studio, is located in Rutherfordton, NC, where my husband and I have a small gallery displaying our work.

I was finally able to finish creating Henry. He traveled back well from our away create space and is sitting comfortably on his fence post waiting to dry and get bisque fired.
