This morning we discovered our Fall garden had been destroyed. 😔

I was so proud that our cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale and brussels sprouts were all growing beautifully, and then overnight, something decided to help itself. 🐛🦌🐇👀

We don't know what got into the garden yet, but we're determined to figure it out!

The good news is that the weather is still beautiful, so we have plenty of time to replant and try again. 🪴💚

That's gardening, I guess! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sometimes you grow it, sometimes something else gets to it first. 😂

Nutty BOUT Nature will not be attending 1st Friday at Sac Made Makerspace tonight.

That means last month’s event was our last 1st Friday there for the year. 🪴💚

Last Saturday, we got up early and attended a gardening workshop held by our local Master Gardener group.

Our garden is already transitioning from a summer garden to a fall garden, and we're excited!

There is ALWAYS something new to learn when it comes to gardening—and that's one of the things I love about it. 💚

✨✨✨✨FIRST FRIDAY IS MORE THAN A MARKET. IT IS A CALL TO SHOW UP FOR LOCAL.✨✨✨✨

MADE is the only public manufacturing hub of its kind in our region, right here in Oak Park and open to anyone who wants to learn, build, create, and grow.

We currently support 68 businesses, 100 members, and more than 300 First Friday market vendors. People even travel from the Bay Area to access our tools, equipment, training, and resources.

That matters.

We believe creating and building locally strengthens Sacramento from the ground up and from the inside out. It keeps skills, businesses, ideas, jobs, and dollars rooted in our communities.

Right now, MADE needs community support to help bridge us through the end of the year.

So this First Friday, help us make some noise.

Come out. Speak out. Advocate. Shop local. Support our vendors. Bring your friends. Share this post and remind Sacramento why spaces like this matter.
