Lessons in dahlia growing: Tag them early! Right name to the right dahlia. Nothing is more frustrating than getting a new flower you pay handsomely for, spend a million hours caring for & then end up with the wrong dang variety. It’s happened to us all, but this way really helps keep me organized for all our sakes 😉

These two unicorns are well worth the effort. Both workhorses and colors that blend incredibly well. A gorgeous ! Hoping to have a few to share next year…but I also would be ok growing a whole row of each 😉

My daughter Josephine picked this seedling out as her namesake probably on its 1st yr (😬 no pressure there…don’t mess it up mom!) Now she’s on to year 4 and still as cute as can be. Long green stems and blends with other pinks/ yellow/ whites quite well.

bred by Steve & Sandy Boley of Birch Bay Dahlias is an incredibly resilient waterlily dahlia. I bought a few blooms this past Friday at the dahlia festival in Ferndale, WA and she still looks amazing, hasn’t dropped a single petal! Which is pretty outstanding for the style of bloom she is. I’ve always hesitated buying waterlily forms bc they tend to fizzle soon after picking…but not this one!! Fingers crossed that she will be available in Jan 2027 from Triple Wren Farms

New bloom! Even the late ones are worth the wait. Just scrumptious and holds up beautifully in a bouquet 💐
