It’s atemoya season! I’m pretty sure this is the biggest atemoya we have grown, and it was oh so tasty! We think it is a geffner, but not 100% sure. We acquired this tree years ago after seeing a post on Next Door from someone in old southeast who was giving it away. It was a full grown tree at the time, but now it has fully established itself at our place and has fruited for the last few years! We love this tree!

It’s mamey sapote season! Did you know you can bake muffins with mamey? I tried it out this morning for the first time and it was a success! I started with a pumpkin muffin recipe and swapped it for mashed mamey. It worked great! Have you experimented with cooking with mamey? What have you made?
