A full roughout is a joy to bring back. This Sulphur River got our complete clean, oil, condition & detail — the nap brushed up even and warm all over, the braided fork detail crisp, and the conchos polished bright — and it leaves with fresh strings. A good, honest working saddle, ready to ride.

Here's the process to clean the rivets on the saddle. You can't see these rivets when everything is put back together so this is more for us than anything. Always such a satisfying end result.

This Heisler roper got our full clean, oil, condition & detail — the basketweave and floral tooling stand crisp again, the leather back to a deep, rich brown, and the silver conchos polished bright. We repaired the offside rear dee while it was with us, too. A hardworking saddle, ready to get back to work.

Remember that kid's saddle that was covered in all that grime? Well, here it is now all cleaned up. This one is going to be on display and wow what a display it will be. Link to the cleaning video in the comments below.

This little kid saddle took longer than our usual cleaning: a full restoration, the leather fed back to a deep, rich glow, that pretty floral tooling crisp again, bright new conchos, and fresh strings. A saddle this loved is worth the slow work.

There's nothing like a roughout roper brought back to bright. This Kirkes Custom cleaned up beautifully — even color, soft nap, fresh strings, and that cream cantle lacing standing out the way it should. A saddle that earns its keep, ready to get back to work.

Uh oh. It's not the wasp nest that's the main cause of concern here. Wait until the end to see what this saddle is hiding in it. This was during the phase where we hose off the saddles. Hosing them off is not only for the dust...
