🚨 Structural Damage, Mold AND Dead Animals... All in One Crawlspace! 🚨

We never know what we're going to find when we crawl underneath your home.

In this crawlspace, we found a little bit of everything:

🪵 Structural issues
🦠 Mold growth
💧 Moisture problems
🐀 Dead animals
🏚️ Years of conditions that had gone unnoticed

Most homeowners never go into their crawlspace. Problems can develop underneath the house for years before there's an obvious symptom upstairs.

By the time you notice something inside the home, there can already be a much bigger problem underneath it.

That's why we don't believe in looking at just one issue. If there's mold, why is there mold? If there's damaged wood, what caused it? If there's moisture, where is it coming from?

🏡 Big Home Performance Transformation in Cherry Hill! 💪

We wrapped up a BIG Home Performance project in Cherry Hill last week, tackling this house from the crawlspace all the way to the attic! One of our newer crew members also sprayed this crawlspace by himself - big shout out to Kenzie for picking up spray foam so quickly!

Most of the knee-wall attics weren't accessible in this property, so we carefully cut through the drywall to get into the areas we needed to work.

Once inside, we found:
👉 Large open drop soffits
👉 Closets built into the roof trusses
👉 Wide-open pathways between the 1st and 2nd floors
👉 Bathroom fans that had never been vented to the exterior

All of these areas matter when you're trying to control how air, heat and moisture move through a home.

Our Home Performance Scope:

✔️ A Conditioned crawlspace
✔️ Air-sealed and insulated the flat attic areas
✔️ Spray-foamed the knee-wall spaces
✔️ Sealed the HVAC ductwork
✔️ Properly addressed the bath-fan ventilation
✔️ Reduced the home's measured air leakage by 30%! 📉

We did have one more surprise on this project; during a heavy rain, we watched water channel through the center of the crawlspace and flood toward the back of the home.

Rather than just covering it up with our new v***r barrier, we stopped and gave the homeowner two options to address it correctly:

1️⃣ Full drainage matting with a sump-pump system

OR

2️⃣ Partial drainage matting with 3 yards — roughly 4.5 TONS — of stone to build up the low areas where the water was collecting.

The homeowner chose Option 2.

And then our crew absolutely crushed it. 💪 Five guys moved and placed all 4.5 tons of stone into the crawlspace in UNDER AN HOUR!

📦 Turning a Shipping Container Into Usable Space? Spray Foam It!

🚨 We Found a GAS LEAK in This Crawlspace Today! 🚨

This is exactly why using the right company matters. While starting this crawlspace project today, we discovered a gas leak.

We weren't there looking for a gas leak, but when you're working underneath a home, you need to pay attention to everything around you. Thankfully, our guys do!
