Paulie Ma Williams wrote a poem about my bear (in the comments), and they could not have known how applicable their poem was. This bear's name is Paulie Bear, just Bear for short.
He was found at the bottom of a pile in a thrift store in Nanaimo, Canada. He has been well loved in his life, and his softness proves it. Based on style, fill, and coloring- my guess is he is from the 1940's, but I honestly have no idea as there is no tag. In the 50's they used rubber faces a lot - but I did find a 1950's gund brand teddy bear that almost matched him identically.
He needs a name, and I shall put him in a comfy spot in honor of the many nights he has surely cuddled a child to sleep.

My boyfriend and I just bought America's oldest drive-in movie theater (Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre, which I suppose is, in itself, a weird and wonderful secondhand find). In the shed, we found this enormous speaker. I can't find any clear photos of it in use, but it was the original source for sound for the drive-in when it was first built in the 1930s - pre-dating even speaker poles!
