Hang out with us and Flow of Light for a short repotting workshop followed by a sound bath, for the ultimate grounding experience. Tickets are at the 🔗 in bio, or you can swing by the shop today and snag one in person!

[Post description: Three grey slides with green text and line decorations. At the top of each slide it says “Cast & Grey x The Flow of Light” The first slide, titled “Succulents & Sound”, says “Thursday August 20 7pm - 8:15pm at Cast & Grey Botanical / A grounding exercise: Repot a new succulent to take home, and then relax into the depths of a sound bath.” The second slide, titled “What to Expect”, says “A grounding exercise: Guests will arrive and put their belongings aside as they take their place around a table. They will be verbally guided as they repot a succulent of their choosing to take home. Then the room will be reset as the table is put away and mats are rolled out. Guests will then relax into the depths of a Sound Bath provided by The Flow of Light”. The third slide, titled “What You’ll Take Home”, says “A succulent you repotted yourself, a beautiful reminder to stay grounded and to never stop growing.”]

We will be closed tomorrow in solidarity with the National General Strike. No work, no school, no shopping. F*CK 🧊.

[post description: in front of a simple striped background, text reads “Hi friends,

In solidarity with the National General Strike planned for Friday, January 30, Cast & Grey Botanical will be closed for the day, both in-store and online.

Weather permitting, we will be back to normal on Saturday, January 31 but I’m not naîve enough to think this one action will be the last time business has to be interrupted in protest of what’s going on with our country. Resisting fascism is a long, uphill battle.

I am encouraged by so many of you who have shared in conversation and online about how you’re feeling with each new headline and event. Thank you for being compassionate people.

If you would like to join me in protest, here are some action items:
Call your state senators: Jon Ossoff (202-224-3521) and Raphael Warnock (202-224-3643)
Find your local immigration advocacy groups and donate/volunteer/phone bank/canvass/ask how to help
Contribute to a local mutual aid wish list
Donate to local immigrant bond funds
Have a conversation with your neighbors about creating a hyperlocal support network

Lastly, if you feel like I’m being silly or alarmist, it’s only going to get more annoying from here. Sorry, not sorry.

Love to all.

-Emily”
