PART ONE : Comment HALLOWEEN and I’ll send you a link to an assortment of the recipes from our festive drinks + spooky grazing table! 🎃👻

PART ONE of everything I made for our annual neighborhood Halloween party for 25! We had many neighborhood parties on Bobby’s court back in the day. I’ve now handed the torch to my daughter and it’s so special to be able to help her do the same. Memories her kids will always remember. We’re kicking things off with festive drinks and a spooky grazing table!

From my homemade caramel corn and these viral pickle ranch Goldfish to spiderweb deviled eggs, a creepy prosciutto hand, and a few festive cocktails, there’s a little something for everyone!

And the best part? So much of this can be made ahead of time, so you can actually enjoy your own party!

Stay tuned for PART TWO, where I’m sharing everything I made for the Halloween party dinner! 🕸️🧡

72 MILLION views later!!!!! 🎃 Kicking off Halloween with one of my most watched videos of all time!

If you’ve been here a while, you know this one! And if you’re new, welcome to Babs’ Do’s and Don’ts of Pumpkin Carving!

And we’re just getting started! 🎃 Follow along because I have so many NEW Halloween tricks, treats, and traditions to share with you this year! Whether you’ve been here since the original or just found me, I’m so glad you’re here!

Carving jack-o’-lanterns has always been one of our favorite family traditions, but the mess? Not so much! These simple tricks make pumpkin carving easier, faster, and a whole lot more fun!

🎃 Babs’ Pumpkin Carving Do’s and Don’ts:

1. Carve from the bottom, not the top! Keep the stem as a handle and slip your pumpkin right over a battery-operated candle.
2. Hold your pumpkin securely in your lap while sketching your design, but place it on a stable surface when cutting.
3. Use a red dry erase marker to draw your design. It wipes right off!
4. Use a hand mixer to loosen all those messy pumpkin guts!
5. Grab your pumpkin carving cookie cutters and a rubber mallet for easy designs.
6. Rub a little Vaseline on the cut edges to help prevent them from drying out.

And my favorite finishing touch? A sprinkle of cinnamon inside the pumpkin for that wonderful fall scent! 🍂

Save this one for pumpkin carving night and tell me, how many years have you been carving pumpkins the Babs way?

Happy Halloween!

Comment APPLES 🍎 if you want the recipes from our apple-picking haul!

Apple picking has been a fall tradition in our family for years. I used to bring my preschoolers to Blue Jay Orchards, and now I get to go back with my grandkids. Talk about a full-circle moment. ❤️

We came home with plenty of apples and put them right to work! We made my no-peel, no-core applesauce, Mystery Apple Cake, apple cinnamon simple syrup, an apple-stamp family tree, and the coziest apple c***r pork dinner with butternut squash.

And maybe my favorite part? That apple-stamp craft is one we used to do at my preschool, The Growing Tree. Now I get to do it with my grandkids. 🥹

A little apple picking, a little cooking, a little crafting, and everyone around the table at the end of the day. These are the fall days I hope they’ll always remember. 🍂🍎

Comment “CLEAN” and I’ll send you the link to Homemkaing with Babs. 4 years later and I still stand by these dishwasher do’s & don’ts! 🍽️

In our family, when it comes to chores, how to load the dishwasher is one of the hottest topics. Let’s face it, everyone has their own system that they think is the only way to load the dishwasher. Well, Babs’ is here to teach you the proper way to load your dishwasher so that each and every dish comes out sparkling clean.

🏈 Comment FOOTBALL and I’ll send you the recipes!

Here’s everything I made for the ultimate Football Sunday spread from last weekend with the fam! Also a great menu if you’re hunkering down for the weekend. From a giant Italian sub and a cozy pot of chili to jalapeño popper dip and Scotcheroos, this is the kind of spread that keeps everyone happy from kickoff to the final whistle.

And one of my favorite hosting tricks? I covered the island in kraft paper and wrote the names of each dish right on it. Easy cleanup and everyone knows exactly what they’re grabbing!

Whether you’re hosting the whole crew or just settling in for the game, I hope you find something here to make this weekend. And for all of my East Coast family my prayers are with you this weekend 🌧️🏈❤️

Have you ever wondered what antibodies actually are? We hear the word all the time, but many of us don’t really know what they do.

Antibodies are part of your body’s natural defense system. They help your immune system recognize germs and toxins and respond to them. The more we understand how our bodies work, the better equipped we are to take care of them.

Save this one for sports season and follow along for more life tested hacks

You can also find tips for everything life throws your way in my NEW book Homemaking with Babs! Available now!

Here’s the science: vodka contains ethanol, which kills the odor-causing bacteria responsible for that funky sports gear smell. And because alcohol evaporates quickly, the vodka smell disappears as it dries.

Just add plain, unflavored vodka to a spray bottle, lightly mist the gear, and let it air-dry completely.

Think pads, cleats, gloves, and other hard-to-wash gear that comes home smelling like… well, you know. 😅
