Our client was involved from the very beginning in the design and creation of this fully custom staircase. Along with interior designer Keith Miller, we visited Radius Forge, the blacksmith shop led by Josh Jones, to explore possibilities and test ideas together.

Much of the early design work happened right on the shop floor, using charcoal on butcher paper. We sketched sweeping curves and variations, discussing how each shape could take form in metal.

AOME Managing Director Mark Elster and Director of Strategic Partnerships Seth Gary recently traveled to Idaho and Spokane to connect with industry partners and explore the region’s architecture, craftsmanship, and design community.

Their visit included a stop at the Golf Club at Black Rock with Greg Rowley of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, a behind-the-scenes tour of StanCraft’s boat factory in Coeur d’Alene, led by CEO Robb Bloem of StanCraft Companies, known for its custom boats and construction services.

While in Spokane, they also met with Jason Ramey of Ramey Construction and Kyle Strohmaier and Cameron Babcock of Strohmaier Design Build Construction, and attended a celebration of Wipliance’s 20th anniversary.

A look at the landscaping and pathways that connect the different areas of an extensive project that unfolded over two decades.

The project encompassed the modernization of a historic 1908 Webster Bungalow, the redesign of a former cottage into a guesthouse in character with the mane estate, and the creation of a unique space: a sacred teahouse.

Every element contributes to a cohesive estate, thoughtfully designed to bring its distinct spaces together.
