As a child she spent time in the shop with her grandfather, learning early on how to hammer nails into blocks of wood, and cut with hand saws. Her passion lies in turning out beautiful, durable, and high quality products, designed and built entirely by her. Tom cut his teeth in a pallet mill in high school. Seeing logs to lumber has always stuck with him. Milling up any given log is truly a passion, and every log is a new adventure. His goal is to deliver top quality lumber, and educate customers on timber/lumber selection for their project goals. Neither of us knew the other's woodworking history when we met. Katie fanned the embers when she started building custom cabinets for fish tanks to sit on. With the construction of our home in the country, Tom finally got his first* sawmill, and the fire has been burning ever since. Every day is a new adventure and a new challenge. We are blessed to get to work together on a daily basis, building a future for ourselves and our children, and providing a premium service to the community.

Nice basket of red oak firewood going out to a repeat customer. He admitted that some long stock sawmill scraps he got from us a year ago sat around and rotted before he could get them worked up for firewood. We know y’all are busy. Let us handle the grind, we have you covered!

One big beautiful red oak to make a whole pile of posts! Unfortunately we cut them the wrong size 😩. This was a red oak log 16’ long with a 24” top diameter. It yielded 17 nearly flawless 4x4x16’ posts with an 18th capturing the pith. An additional 6 8’ posts with minor wane came off the edges. Long story short, we have 4x4x16’ red oak in stock! We are going to stick these up and hold them to start air drying. Will make excellent table legs in about a year.

Another one of our big beautiful walnut slabs headed out. It’s heartbreaking to cut this one shorter but it’s what the customer ordered. We were able to still retain a 5’ drop so it’s worth keeping around.

Two cords of white oak out for delivery! We have a young man (high school senior) helping us out this winter so delivery is a bit easier to arrange. We sell the wood, he keeps 100% of the delivery charge. Let us know if you need firewood to get ahead of the winter! We have red oak, white oak, post oak, and hickory.

We snatched a real opportunity lately! Our electric co-op was swapping out poles on our line and said we could take any old ones they pulled. These are 40’ poles and in great shape. We aren’t sure yet how they’ll all be used, but you can rest assured there are many sheds we need to build!

If you know where to get more of these poles affordably please let us know!
