Q: Why do I offer a 30-minute complimentary in-home consultation? And whatโs the point of a consultation?
A: To me, my services are 100% about making life easier for the families I get to work with. I want to make sure clients feel comfortable with me, never pressured or obligated. I want to hear each personโs story face-to-face; often, itโs the only way to fully let the guard down and allow for vulnerability.
And, for obvious reasons, itโs really important for me to see the actual space. It helps to assess the entire home, to understand the overall vibe. I like meeting other family members and pets, too ~ Iโm entering into someoneโs private world, a gift I donโt take lightly.
Itโs exciting to see a clientโs face brighten when we discuss plans and ideas; there an undeniable shift in posture and demeanor when a person feels heard, hopeful, and less alone.
So, a consultation serves purposes well beyond a quick measurement or two: itโs the potential starting point of a very special relationship.
