Whew it has been a doozy around this homestead. I honestly don’t know how people live without water, because for nearly two weeks of either having no water or very limited water was a struggle 😅 hoping this is the last time we have a water issue for a while! Blake and I are now pros at pulling wells pumps - in the dark, in the rain, you name it 😂
The instant feeling of relief when the water pressure built and the water was flowing again was overwhelming. I’m so thankful for the village we have made up here. It was scary to leave everyone we know and love, but it’s been amazing to find our people up here too. There are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel 😭

Came across one of the very first videos Blake did before we were here in Maine showing the property we bought. I can’t believe this video was taken almost 2 years ago now and that we have been in the cabin for almost a year now! The land looks completely different!!! And sometimes it’s hard to see how much we’ve accomplished in such a short time until you look back. There’s a lot of days we both feel like we haven’t done enough or we should be further… but looking at the big picture, I’m so dang proud of us! We have water, we have electricity from the solar, we have heat from the wood stove and a little heater. We have plans for a really great garden next year and we’re gonna give hunting season all we’ve got as a family this year. Thank you everyone for watching the videos and cheering us on! It really does mean a lot to us!
