🍂🌷 WHAT YOU DO THIS FALL SHOWS UP IN THE SPRING! 🌷🍂

Fall isn’t just cleanup season — it’s one of the best times to build better soil and prepare your garden for next year.

🌱 ADD COMPOST TO YOUR FALL GARDEN

Spread compost over your garden beds and work it into the soil this fall. Compost adds organic matter, helps improve soil structure and water retention, and gives your soil time to incorporate all that goodness before spring planting.

🌷 PLANTING TULIPS THIS FALL?

Tulips need to be planted in the fall so they can go through the cold period they need before blooming in spring.

When preparing your tulip beds, mix well-finished compost into the surrounding garden soil to improve the bed and help with drainage. Then plant your bulbs at the proper depth for your variety.

One important tip: don’t set tulip bulbs directly into a thick layer of compost or fertilizer. Tulips do best in well-drained soil, and bulbs can rot if they stay too wet.

Protect your plants now. Freshen it up again in spring.
Spring may be when everyone thinks about making flower beds pretty, but fall is an important time to top off your mulch!
Adding a fresh layer of mulch before winter helps:
🌱 Protect plant roots from temperature swings and winter cold
💧 Hold moisture in the soil so roots don’t dry out as quickly
❄️ Insulate your beds through freezing and thawing weather
🌿 Suppress weeds and give you a head start next spring
🍂 Keep beds looking clean & finished all fall and winter
🪴 Add organic matter over time as natural mulch breaks down
Our recommendation: Replace or refresh your mulch in the spring, then add a lighter top coat in the fall to replenish what has settled or broken down and give your plants a little extra protection going into winter.
