When I bought house in Clinton, as part of complete renovation, I replaced all the plumbing up to the connection to cast iron hub at foundation wall that leads to the street. All perfect for the 4 years I lived there. I sell it and a month later roots were found in that cast iron section at foundation wall, so I dug it up and replaced it. Someone else had been there before me cause there was both clay tile and ABS debris in the hole and new PVC clean out and pipe towards street. Not sure why they didn't do it completely when they had the yard dug up last time. Plumber wanted $6500 to do this work, it cost the customer less than $3,000 to have me do it.

Porch replacement on the "cheap". Demo 4 layers of plywood on top of original fir 1x4 T&G flooring over 2x6 oak joists spanning 12 feet running parallel to house 24" o.c. Owners opted for decking instead of flooring on the new frame.
