When Can You Drive on New Asphalt?
Fresh asphalt looks great, but giving it time to properly cool and set is important!
Generally, you should wait 48 to 72 hours (2 to 3 days) before driving a standard passenger vehicle on newly paved asphalt.
Weather conditions and heavier vehicles can affect this timeline. You should also avoid sharp turns while your asphalt is new to help prevent scuffing and surface damage.
