Sue Wiest, one of our Founding Principals, was elevated to the Council of Fellows by American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) in Los Angeles at the 2026 National Conference on Landscape Architecture in September. Alongside 35 other members of the Society, this honor recognizes Sue’s decades-long contributions to the profession through design leadership, service, mentorship, and advocacy. This honor recognizes Sue’s impact on the St. Louis region, the global design stage and her peers, mentors and places of practice. She has been a crucial engine behind not only the design of many of the places we know and love, but also the places we work.

Congratulations, Sue! We can’t wait to celebrate you here in St. Louis!

Thanks to Chip Crawford for being the best Fellow Chaperone - and Congrats to him on his receipt of the Landscape Architecture Foundation Legacy Award, as well!

While non-native flowers will wilt and suffer in the heatwaves of late-summer, Missouri natives stay cool, calm, and collected! (and BEAUTIFUL!)
Thanks to super-deep roots and un-be-leaf-able drought resistance, these local legends beat the summer sizzle with zero drama—and zero spike in your water bill for irrigation.

Did you know that our scope doesn’t end when the building or landscape is occupied? Our typical involvement in a project lasts over a year past those crucial occupancy dates. Most of our landscape specifications include a year of warranty time for installed plants to lay down roots, weather through a growth season, and get the chance to grow before an owner truly takes over.
Today, Lauren and Gabe were on-site for a warranty walk at St. Louis Community College checking on plants outside of their new Transportation Education Center. This landscape introduced low-maintenance, native plantings to make the new building blend seamlessly into the mid-century campus - a welcoming environment for students to gather and learn!

We love it when a plan (errr, a courtyard!) starts to come together! After all the demo and subgrade and prep, a magical thing happens when trees and finished surfaces emerge… all of a sudden things start to look a lot like the renderings! Shout out to all the parts of a landscape we cannot see below the surface - that’s where the real work is done!

This was a celebration of the value Art adds to our public realm and all of the incredible partners and community that makes great - this energy is what will make the Brickline Greenway North Connector an incredible civic space!
