If you believed you would come back as someone completely new when you die, would you live this life differently?

A different face. A different family. A different race. A different gender. A different country.

A life you can barely imagine from where you’re standing now.

Would you judge people as quickly if you believed you might someday live through what they’re facing?

Would you treat someone differently because of their skin color, gender, or birthplace if your next life could begin in their shoes?

Would you care differently about the world if you knew you’d have to grow up in whatever we leave behind?

Imagine coming back as the person who needs the help you refused to give. Or the child who benefits from the kindness you thought nobody noticed.

I don’t know what happens after we die. But this question makes me think about what I’m doing while I’m here.

How much of my life am I spending afraid to be myself? How am I treating people whose struggles I don’t understand? What am I passing on to my children?
