🌱 Minnesota specialty crop growers — this funding opportunity may be worth a look.
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s Preparing for Extreme Weather (Prepare) Grant can help producers invest in improvements that make their operations more resilient to drought, flooding, extreme heat, hail, frost, high winds and other severe weather.
Grants range from $500–$10,000, with a 50% cash match required.
Eligible projects may include irrigation equipment, wells and pumps, soil moisture sensors, hail netting, mulch and cover crops, worker heat-safety equipment, and other weather-preparedness improvements.
📅 Applications are due November 17, 2026 at 4 p.m. CT.
If you grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers or other eligible specialty crops in Minnesota, take a few minutes to see if your operation qualifies.
