In a July WLWT report, neighbors described feeling controlled excavation blasts near the local landfill from inside their homes.

The operator says monitoring readings are below legal damage thresholds. No connection between the blasts and cracks some residents noticed has been established.

In July, Southgate adopted rules addressing uncontained growth of invasive plants after residents raised concerns.

East Price Hill has a furniture delivery service nobody ordered. 🛋️😑

You know the scene: a couch or a tire shows up along the curb, and the whole block gets to wonder whose problem it is.

Here's the local twist: East Price Hill logged 216 Cincinnati 311 requests about furniture and trash dumping through October 5 this year, compared with 84 during the same stretch last year.

Those are service requests — not 216 confirmed separate dumping incidents. But that's still a whole lot of neighbors asking somebody to deal with the mess.

If you spot dumping in a public right-of-way, report it through Cincinnati 311. Don't assume the neighbor whose house it's near put it there.

Northern Kentucky: imagine moving for the country view… then seeing plans for 87 homes nearby. 😳

That's the debate around a proposed subdivision near Alexandria Pike in southern Campbell County.

At an October 13 meeting, neighbors raised concerns about traffic, runoff and the rural feel. Planning officials pointed to the region's housing needs, and commissioners added a 20-foot planted buffer to the plan.

Important: the zoning change still needs approval from Campbell County Fiscal Court. Nothing's built yet.

A local real estate agent described a buyer who contacted around 30 brokers about coverage for a 1920s house with outdated electrical wiring. The seller ultimately arranged an upgrade.

That's one reported transaction, not a rule for every insurer or house. If you're buying or selling an older home, ask about coverage and electrical inspections early.
