Seventy years is a remarkable milestone, but what makes us most proud is how Hallman Lindsay has reached it.
This year, we’re celebrating 70 years in business and more than 40 years in Sun Prairie. From our beginnings in Madison in 1956 to becoming the Midwest’s largest independent paint manufacturer, our success has always been built on three things: exceptional products, exceptional people, and a deep commitment to the Midwest communities we serve.
Every day, our Wisconsin-made paint can be found on some of the most recognizable landmarks in the state, from Lambeau Field and Camp Randall Stadium to neighborhood homes and local businesses. But what we appreciate just as much are the community partnerships that often happen behind the scenes, whether that's supporting local food pantries, donating materials to projects like Sun Prairie Mural Fest, or helping organizations make a positive impact where they live and work.
As Jason Malina, our Head of Marketing shared in a recent interview, Hallman Lindsay is the first place in my career where I've had the opportunity to make decisions because they're the right thing to do, not just because they're good for the bottom line. That mindset starts with our owner, Tim Mielcarek, and our company's philosophy of "Love. Serve. Care." It’s a philosophy that shapes our culture, our relationships, and the way we do business every day.
Today, Hallman Lindsay operates 33 stores across three states, manufactures all of our paint in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and continues to grow while remaining proudly independent. None of that would be possible without our dedicated employees, loyal customers, painting contractors, design professionals, and community partners.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Here's to the next 70 years.
