Hurricane Prep: Protect Your Gate & Opener

Your gate opener guards your entrance all year, but when a storm is coming, it needs protecting too. Before the wind picks up:

1️⃣ Disconnect the opener arm so high winds and debris can't bend or twist it.
2️⃣ Chain the gate fully open or fully closed to stop it from swinging and damaging the gate and opener.
3️⃣ Turn off the control and battery boxes to save battery power and protect components from power surges and water.
4️⃣ Zip-tie or lock the box covers so they don't blow off and expose sensitive parts.
5️⃣ Unplug the AC power source (if you have one) to guard against power fluctuations.

A few minutes of prep now can save you costly repairs later. Protect your investment and stay safe!
